Tech worker by day, geeky wine enthusiast by night.
I prefer a geeky, detail-oriented perspective into wines: the terroir, grape varietal, farming techniques, winemaking science, bottle age and all the measurable factors that goes into making an excellent bottle of wine. I’d be documenting my technical approach to wines in this blog, hope you enjoy the read!
In my wine journey, I’ve done my WSET 2, and am currently pursuing my WSET 3, with the hope of one day doing the WSET diploma course. Jancis Robinson’s Oxford Companion to Wine and Wine Grapes are daily reading for me, and I keep “Inside Burgundy” and “Inside Bordeaux” close by. I pay close attention to the geeky websites of yourwineiq.com (burgundy), and thewinecellarinsider.com/ (bordeaux) and am always looking for a bargain on wine-searcher.com.
My favourite wine casts are “Wine for Normal People” (found on Spotify and Apple Podcasts) and the “Unknown Winecaster” on Youtube.
